'These verses are to read aloud and share with friends and family. They are meant to be fun! They are based on some of my experiences and some of the things that have amused, and annoyed, me over the years. the absurdities of life put into verse to make people laugh. Some have appeared in parish magazines, and all have been read at community events, raising smiles and laughter, as the listeners recognised familiar situations.'

'I left school at sixteen and joined the Women's Land Army. Twenty years and a family later I trained as a teacher of Speech and Drama. Later still, with children's plays to my credit, I worked in theatre management until I retired. After that I wrote several short stories and articles for magazines, and as an admirer of Belloc, Ogden Nash, etc., I find that pricking bubbles with comic verse is great fun.'

'Enjoy!'
